HFA provides on-site childcare and youth/teen programs to keep young attendees safe and engaged while registered participants attend sessions during symposium is available.
There may be opportunities for outdoor activities, so please pack appropriate outdoor clothing for New Orleans in April.
Age-Appropriate Groups and Supervision
Program participants will be placed in age-appropriate groups and supervised by experienced staff from qualified childcare and teen services. Siblings of disparate ages will not be in the same group, but they will have many opportunities to interact throughout the day.
Children — Ages 6 months to 4
On-site childcare is available for ages 6 months to 4 years old, facilitated by Accent.
Camp Symposium for Youth — Ages 5 to 12
A supervised camp-style experience will be available for youth ages 5 to 12 during featuring age-appropriate activities and engagement facilitated by Onyx. Activities include arts and crafts, outdoor recreation, health education, nature and walkable field trips.
Teens — Ages 13 to 17
Teens ages 13 to 17 can meet up with friends or make new ones in our reimagined Teen Hub. Drop in anytime to grab snacks, jump into a game, or take the mic for karaoke. Parent’s permission required at registration. The Teen Hub will have adult supervision during the hours of operation.
