COVID-19 Policy
HFA will be following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for our 2023 Symposium.
Vaccinations
HFA expects attendees to take personal responsibility for following guidance from the CDC on measures to reduce infection from COVID-19 and to protect against severe complications. While HFA is not requiring vaccination, we strongly urge all attendees to follow the CDC’s recommendation that adult and child attendees receive the updated bivalent vaccine as soon as they are eligible to do so.
Masks
Mask-wearing is strongly encouraged at Symposium but optional for attendees. HFA will have a limited supply of masks available on-site.
On-site Testing
On-site testing will be available to those experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please let an HFA staff member know immediately and you will be provided with a test.
If an attendee tests positive for COVID-19, they will be asked to isolate in their hotel room. Please let a member of HFA’s staff know if you test positive at the event.
Attendance Precautions
Do not travel to the event if:
- You have been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 5 days;
- You tested positive for COVID-19 and are still within your isolation period; or
- You feel sick or have any symptoms of infection with COVID-19.
HFA asks the community to act responsibly and we appreciate your understanding as we seek to provide valuable, timely face-to-face programming while prioritizing the health and safety of attendees.
