
Journey to Healthier Joints
This session, and accompanying Bloodstream podcast, will focus on the importance of joint health, along with safe, beneficial and adaptive activities for people with bleeding disorders. Join us as a team of Blood Brothers who participated in the Joint Health Activity Challenge in the Fall of 2019 share their experiences.

Amy Board
Amy is a producer, writer, and rare disease patient advocate. Currently, she is the
senior director of patient engagement at Believe Limited. With a long history
in advocating for rare diseases, she worked with the Colorado bleeding disorder
community for over a decade, first at The Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center at
the University of Colorado and then as executive director of the Colorado
Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation. She holds her Master’s in
Non-Profit Management and her undergrad in music theatre. She is the co-host of
The BloodStream Podcast and the producer for the FLOW podcast – straight talk
about extreme periods. She lives in Los Angeles. -
Patrick James Lynch
Patrick James Lynch is a filmmaker, media professional, and globally-recognized health advocate. He’s been awarded the Hemophilia Federation of America’s (HFA) Health & Wellness Award (2013), the National Hemophilia Foundation’s (NHF) Meritorious Service Award (2014), the National Organization of Rare Disorders’s (NORD) Rare Impact Award (2020), and was a featured speaker during World Federation of Hemophilia’s (WFH) World Congress in 2016, 2018, and will be again in 2022. In 2013, Patrick helped launch the non-profit organization Entertainment 2 Affect Change (E2AC), and since 2011 has operated as chief executive officer of Believe Limited. Patrick has severe hemophilia A, a tolerized inhibitor, and dedicates his work in bleeding disorders to the memory of his late brother, Adam.

The Bleeders
The panelists of this session are all part of the Bleeders of the Great Northwest – the winning team from HFA’s Journey to Healthier Joints Fitness Challenge in 2019. They represent different age ranges, fitness backgrounds, and physical limitations, but they all share a common determination and motivation to push themselves to succeed. Team members include Kevin, Matt, Corey, Keith, Harp, Mike, Dwayne, and Reid from across Oregon and Washington.
