Navigating Intimacy with a Bleeding Disorder
Intimacy in a relationship can be challenging for everyone. Partners are constantly influencing each other, intimacy can take on many forms and adding a bleeding disorder has its own set of challenges. This session will focus on identifying and resolving the complexities and joys of intimacy. Expect an interactive session where participants will be encouraged to share their experiences.

David Rushlow, LMSW David Rushlow has spent 29 years as the social worker and program director at the Northern Regional Bleeding Disorder Center at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, MI. He has presented various topics on bleeding disorders over the years both locally and nationally and has a special interest in facilitating group discussions on Intimacy and communication skills. He is an admitted coffee snob and will go to the ends of the earth to find that perfect cup!
Karen Boyd, LMSW
Karen Boyd is a licensed social worker since 1982 and has been active in the community for over 24 years. She has served as the social worker for the MSU Center for Bleeding and Clotting Disorders. Karen specializes in working with individuals and couples to create a satisfying relationship. When away from her busy professional life, Karen enjoys ballroom dancing, gardening, entertaining, travel and a good cup of coffee.
