Rap Session: Spouses
Are you the partner or spouse of a loved one with a bleeding disorder? If yes, this session is for you! Join our roundtable discussion group with other partners and spouses to connect and share experiences. This session is only open for partners/spouses of a person with a bleeding disorder and will be closed to industry representatives unless the representative is also a partner/spouse of a person with a bleeding disorder.
Suzan Higgins works full time in Interactive Media and is also a busy wife and mother in the bleeding disorder community. She served on the Children’s Special Healthcare Committee for 18 years and currently sits on the Advocacy Committee for the Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan. Her husband has Severe FVIII with Inhibitor and her daughter is an obligate carrier. Suzan has been involved on local, regional, and national levels in numerous capacities such as lobbying, women’s retreats, inhibitor summits, and women’s support groups. Suzan has her B.A. in Health Services Administration and when she isn’t attending a hemophilia event, you can find her at her daughter’s karate dojang or immersed in all things herbal related. Suzan and her family live in Trenton, Michigan.
