Spanish Session

This session will provide a discussion about the reality experienced by people who have a bleeding disorder and the emotional challenges that have been experienced during and after the pandemic. Alex Abreu Boria, MSW, and Sabrina Farina, LMSW will present information on topics related to general mental health and coping strategies. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions to be answered during the session.

    Sabrina Farina LMSW

    Sabrina Farina LMSW is a Social Worker with 20 years’ experience working with health care multidisciplinary teams. Currently, Sabrina is a Senior Social Worker at Gulf States Hemophilia and Thrombophilia Center, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in Houston Texas. She services patients throughout their life span diagnosed with bleeding disorders. Sabrina has received the University of Houston, Graduate College of Social Work, Outstanding Field Instructor of the Year Award. She has formerly served as Co-Chair for the National Hemophilia Foundation, (NHF), Ethics Working Group and has also been a Social Work representative on the NHF, Social Work Working Group. Sabrina is the recipient of the National Hemophilia Foundation, Social Work Excellence Fellowship Award for 2018 and the 2019 recipient of the National Hemophilia Foundation, Award of Excellence, Social Worker of the Year.
